The Covenant with Moses is, without doubt, a foundational event. In it, God makes the twelve tribes a nation; Moses gives them the law and promises to lead them to a land flowing with milk and honey. The Covenant with David ratifies this promise and seals it: the Kingdom of David is born.
Beyond the literal meaning of these texts, we see shining forth Christ and his Church. In this series we study these two covenants and understand how they apply to the Lord and to the New Israel, that is the Church He founded on Peter.
