CFL 28: The End Times

In this first lecture, we study the various passages of the Gospels that deal with the end times.
Specifically, we focus on Matthew 16:31, Matthew 24, Matthew 13, and Luke 21.
In this context, the four senses of Scripture and the Covenant will prove particularly useful to help us understand what Jesus meant. We will see that the words of the Lord did not deal with the end times principally but with events that were at hand and that signaled the end of the old covenant. We will also see how these same words can be applied to the end times.
Another important element that will help us here is the relationship of the Temple of Jerusalem to the cosmos.
